What Does an Oscilloscope Measure

ByCharles Clark October 6, 2022December 4, 2023 Updated onDecember 4, 2023

An oscilloscope can measure a variety of signals, including voltage and current, as well as the frequency of a signal. The frequency determines the waveform’s shape. The waveform of an AC signal depends on its amplitude and frequency, but a…

BNC Cable Oscilloscope

ByCharles Clark October 6, 2022April 1, 2023 Updated onApril 1, 2023

BNC cables are used to connect an oscilloscope to a circuit under test. Because BNC cables are best for transmitting audio/video signals and radio frequency signals. They offer the best quality of signal integrity and the highest available bandwidth. BNC…

How to Find VPP on Oscilloscope

ByCharles Clark October 6, 2022April 1, 2023 Updated onApril 1, 2023

Adjust the vertical sensitivity of the oscilloscope while the waveform is displayed on the screen to get the figure as inclusive as possible without losing any from the top or bottom. Count the number of horizontal graticules on the screen…

How to Measure Current With an Oscilloscope

ByCharles Clark September 1, 2022April 1, 2023 Updated onApril 1, 2023

You can measure current with an oscilloscope using one of the following methods: Measuring current with a digital multimeter is common. But measuring current that changes over time necessitates the use of an oscilloscope. Most oscilloscopes only detect voltage directly,…

How to Zoom In Oscilloscope

ByCharles Clark September 1, 2022April 1, 2023 Updated onApril 1, 2023

To zoom in or out a signal in an oscilloscope, you need to change the scales of the axes. Use the knob for the horizontal axis and set the µs/div to a lower value. This will allow you to zoom…

How to Test an Oscilloscope

ByCharles Clark September 1, 2022April 1, 2023 Updated onApril 1, 2023

For calibrating a 10:1 probe, the majority of scopes provide a test output. Typically, a 1 kHz, 1 V, or 5 V square wave is used. The first stage is to display the square wave with about three periods accurately….

Oscilloscope Input Resistance

ByCharles Clark September 1, 2022April 1, 2023 Updated onApril 1, 2023

Oscilloscope input resistance is a part of a complicated impedance, which includes both resistive and capacitive components, can interfere with the performance of circuits being tested and restricts oscilloscopes’ high-frequency performance.  Oscilloscope Input Resistance When an oscilloscope is connected to…

Our Story

During our college years, we had to fix a ceiling fan. It was our first-hand experience of how wiring an electric device wrong would turn it into a total disaster. After that incident, some like mind friends set up a goal to educate people about circuit boards, electric connections, DIY soldering, and much more. And Circuits Gallery was born.
